Available Scholarships
A total of $750,000 in scholarships will be awarded to new and returning NH undergraduate students. Scholarships will be awarded in four categories in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Students may apply in multiple categories but may only win one scholarship.
Leadership & Community Service
Tell us about how you have demonstrated commitment to your community or showcased leadership skills through extracurricular activities, employment, volunteer work, academic programs, or other experiences.
First Generation College Student
This scholarship is for first-generation college students. A first-generation student is someone whose parents did not complete a bachelor’s degree. Please share with us how you have created opportunities for yourself and what a college education means to you.
Academic Excellence
Share your academic accomplishments with us. Please note that for this scholarship, GPA is given greater weight in the review process, but will also consider financial need and other curricular and extracurricular activities. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required.
Life Experience
This scholarship is an opportunity to share what makes you uniquely you. Tell us about an experience, talent, or life moment that has shaped who you are and prepared you to take the next step in your educational journey.
What do I need to apply?
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a New Hampshire resident or graduating from a NH high school in 2025
- Must be enrolled or plan to be enrolled in classes totaling at least six credits at a two-year or four-year college or Title-IV eligible trade school in the fall of 2025
- Must be able to demonstrate financial need as evidenced by the Student Aid Index from the FAFSA
- Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of application
Please Note: Prior Granite Edvance/NHHEAF Network Scholarship recipients are welcome to reapply.
What to have ready when applying:
- Official or unofficial high school transcript
- Photo of NH driver’s license for proof of residency (unofficial high school transcript may also be used for this requirement)
- Screenshot of your FAFSA estimated SAI. This can be found in your FAFSA confirmation email or through your studentaid.gov account.
- If you have paid your enrollment deposit or committed to your chosen institution, a copy of your financial aid award

Applications will close for 4-year students on May 7, 2025, and for 2-year and trade school students on July 9, 2025.
About Our Scholarship
The Granite Edvance Scholarship is offered each spring as part of our commitment to supporting NH students of all ages and backgrounds in finding and funding their future pathways. Since the scholarship program began in 2005, we have awarded scholarships to hundreds of NH college students. In recent years, we have substantially increased our total scholarship amount in order to support more students. In 2024, we awarded $500,000 to 107 students, including 37 first-generation college students, and in 2025 we are awarding $750,000.
